Nonito Donaire Jr Gives 100 Homes To Typhoon Victims In Iloilo
In 2013, the devastating typhoon Yolanda hit Iloilo, and lots of victims are still recovering from their loss. Typhoon Yolanda destructed several towns in Iloilo province in Western Visayas with some coastline communities completely washed out by the powerful storm. The coastal communities of Estancia, Concepcion and Ajuy have been completely wiped out by the super typhoon, leaving thousands of people with no homes.
Thankfully, there were lots of helping hands from people. To recover from the devastation, celebrities, TV personalities, and even Manny Pacquiao helped many victims. A few days ago, WBA Interim Flyweight Champion Nonito Donaire Jr. flew to Iloilo to help turn over a hundred homes to typhoon victims, alongside English businessman Greg Secker and his foundation.
Five years after the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda, Donaire is about to give away a hundred homes to the victims, and will be there to witness the turnover proceedings. Back in 2009, Donaire also helped Ondoy victims by giving 1 million pesos to fund a housing project for the victims.
Donaire is set to begin training camp soon as he’s scheduled to take on Irishman Carl Frampton in Belfast later this April.
